Zouk beginners course ran in Turk’s Head in Parliament Str., Dublin city center from March 24, 2010 on Tuesday evenings 8.30-9.30; free Zouk practice/club till 10.30.
When this course finishes, from May 11, 2010 there will be a new beginners course at the same place on Tuesdays from 7.30 to 8.30 and first ‘improvers’ course from 8.30 to 9.30; then free Zouk practice till 10.30.

The Zouk style danced in Dublin is Neozouk, Rio style, though everyone can develop their own style in Zouk. There’s a short introduction to Zouk to get an idea of what it may look like when done well.

Some people from Dublin are going for the Zouk Berlin Festival on June 4 – 6, 2010 - Friday to Sunday. If some more want to join in, I'll put some more info on it here.

The full pass for all the workshops and additional program for the whole weekend starting Friday is at the moment 125 Euro (until end of May). (It was 99E and even less earlier if you'd booked earlier.)

I got my flights to Berlin and back for about 170 Euro now. All who are going at the moment are in the same hotel very close to the venue of the workshops. There are cheaper hotels there but this one was about 85 Euro per room per night (a room can take up to 3 people) and is close to the venue. This should give you a rough idea about the costs if you are thinking of going.

If you live around Dublin and are thinking of trying Zouk out, now is a good time. There is a new Zouk beginners course starting in Turk's Head (Parliament Str, Dublin city center) on Tuesdays - from May 11. (Note, this was moved to Wednesdays. Same venue and times.)

7:30pm - Beginners zouk (6 week course)
8:30pm - Improvers zouk
9:30pm - FREE zouk practice session til 10:30pm

Beginners is a 6-week course, all others are drop-in, ongoing throughout the year except for Christmas break. Due to limited space, numbers are restricted, so please pre-book to reserve your place. No partner or experience required. All are welcome! Admission €10 per class/ €50 for 6-week course. If you're interested, you can book your place in the course - email Hilary at hilary@danzon.ie
