Welcome all to our new web! It has been developing quickly with over 1000 page views and 10 registered users after the first day since launch! Thanks for creating this great web! I wish it brings all competitive dancers in Ireland here to chat, get ready for and looking forward to competitions together. Then there could be more people going for competitions.

I will try to write some info for newcomers to dancesport and put it in the Newcomers category on this web. I have met lots of people dancing other styles that when they found out I do ballroom asked me for more information to start. They would like to do it and could start filling the starting categories in dance competitions over the time but they were not able to find any info how to get started. So, now I'll be referring them to this web!

I am also writing up some notes that could help newcomers to DanceSport to get started and feel more welcome, however the technical side of this web has been consuming most of my time yet. If you get to finish something, do post it in the Newcomers forum. The more information there is available on this web, the better. It can always be transformed into a better looking and better reading guide for newcomers then.

Thank you all for your supportive emails. There is no need to be afraid to post it in the forums here. That's what the forums here are for - for all to post in them. If you are not sure about where to post something you would like to say, don't worry about it too much. Just post it where you feel it fits. Topics can always be moved to a different category should it be needed. 'Dance cafe' can take almost anything. If you have any comments, questions, ideas or suggestions for this web, the first category - Forum information ... fits the best. All of us like those who post in the forums and feedback is always appreciated to see people appreciate what you do
